West Nusa Penida Snorkelling + Island Tour

Since West Nusa Penida is home to some unique attractions, we recommend visiting this part of the island, especially for first-time visitors.

With breathtaking viewpoints at every corner T-Rex shaped cliffs that provide views over a rugged landscape, a natural infinity pool, and unspoiled beaches, the west coast of Nusa Penida is an excellent addition to any Bali itinerary!

Manta Bay
The location of Manta Bay is in the west of the island of Nusa Penida. Manta Bay is the most famous Nusa Penida Snorkeling Spot. It is interesting to many people to do snorkelling activities, and there are many manta rays around the sea. The size also varies, from minor to measuring more than 1 meter. Manta rays are very friendly with humans who snorkel at the Manta Bay spot. Do not touch manta rays because it can damage the skin of manta rays because manta rays are very sensitive.

Crystal Bay
Nusa Penida snorkelling spots do not include too many options for shore snorkelling. Still, Crystal Bay is one of the few sandy beaches where snorkelers at all levels can enjoy exploring beautiful coral reefs. Thanks to the shallow water and easy shore access. We are sure that snorkelling in Crystal Bay will amaze you with its clear water and lively corals. Sometimes even turtles can be seen here.

Snorkel in the left corner of the bay and arrive as early as possible. The water is the calmest in the morning, but the waves and currents might get intense during the day, and the bay gets crowded with boats.

As the name shows, the water is crystal clear, meaning you can expect 30 meters of visibility! A dream for underwater photographers, so it brings a waterproof camera!

Gamat Bay
Very few tourists visit this secluded little beach due to the difficult access. A dirt track leads down to Gamat Bay, but the last part is a narrow, very steep path where you need to climb, so it is manageable only wearing proper sports shoes.

It is one of the best Nusa Penida snorkelling spots with crystal clear water and thousands of fish that play hide and seek among the vibrant corals. A must-visit place when on the island! Therefore we recommend arriving here by boat.

Toyapakeh Wall Point
Besides being a superb dive spot, the Toyapakeh Wall Point is one of the most beautiful Nusa Penida snorkelling places too! The wide variety of fish and extensive coral colonies make the Toyapakeh Wall Point snorkeller’s favourite reef. Large pelagic species like Mola Mola fish are regular visitors here.

Pantai Atuh (Atuh Beach)
Among the beaches on the treasure island of Nusa Penida, Atuh Beach remains at one the top of the list as the most beautiful beaches with killer views.

The view is a breath of fresh air. The glistening turquoise ocean is well-guarded by craggy mountain peaks and the perfectly laid out stretch of white sand that begs to be walked on.

Atuh Beach on Nusa Penida, or Pantai Atuh as it’s known in Bahasa, is one of the most epic beaches in Bali. It’s a rough drive and a short hike down to the beach, but boy, isn’t this incredible little bay worth it!

Raja Lima
Most tourists perhaps have been aware of the famous Raja Ampat in Papua Province. Nevertheless, Nusa Penida also has an identical attraction called Raja Lima.

Raja Lima in Nusa Penida is a spectacular viewpoint with panoramic views of the ocean and the various islands. This picturesque point got its name due to the number of small islands and unusual rock formations that can be seen in the ocean. It is a one-of-a-kind view that cannot be missed if you visit Nusa Penida.

It takes effort to reach the best viewing or photography spot in Raja Lima. You may even need to walk up and down a few stairs to get there. But the views are so worth it.

Diamond Beach
A visit to Nusa Penida is not complete without a stop at the gorgeous Diamond Beach. The Diamond Beach is located on the island’s eastern end and offers some sensational views from up top and down below.

Diamond Beach is certainly one of you must do in Nusa Penida, Bali. A breathtaking white beach, velvety blue waters, limestones, and palm trees create a dream destination. The view from the top of Diamond Beach is directly from the postcards.

Bukit Teletubbies (Hill of Teletubbies)
The Teletubbies Hill (also known as Bukit Teletubbies) is a bit different from anything else Nusa Penida offers, even though it’s an island full of bizarre and unique sights!

This group of big round hills in the centre of the island is named after resembling the background scenery from the Teletubbies kids show.

Teletubbies Hill has a beautiful landscape with an undulating pasture covered in verdant green grass, ferns, and lavender.

Bukit Teletubbies or Teletubbies Hill is a place that is fun and Instagram-worthy. This Hill was named because the Teletubbies site is almost like shooting a film Teletubbies. High mounds dotted the grass, plants are green, and the distance between the adjacent hills.

The shape is also a smooth half-circle. This Hill of limestone is covered with thin soil so the grass can grow there. This Is The Teletubbies Hill Nusa Penida. The grass that rises above the Hill gives beautiful green shades to the hills.

Rumah Pohon “Tree House”
The Tree House (Rumah Pohon) on Nusa Penida has become one of the most popular attractions and places to stay! It is perched on the mountain at Thousand Island (Pulau Seribu) viewpoint near Atuh Beach. Thanks to talented photographers who shared this spot on social media, it has landed on many travellers’ Nusa Penida bucket lists.
