Koisaan Cultural Village
The Village represents a living museum to preserve the multi-ethnic Kadazandusun culture. It aims to share the knowledge, history, and cultural heritage of the multi-ethnic Kadazandusun community. The KCV offers you the opportunity to see and experience the culture and lifestyle of how the indigenous ethnic communities of the Kadazandusun used to live in the past.
Your visit will include various interactive traditional games and cultural activities such as tapai (local wine) and traditional cake tasting, headgear formation and beads making demonstration, traditional wedding display and photography services, showcasing the diverse traditions of indigenous cultural communities, their values and lifestyle.
With eleven (11) unique cultural houses within the KCV spread over a uniquely developed landscape linked by a hanging “harmony” bridge, will definitely give you the ideal introduction to the Kadazandusun multi-ethnic cultures. It is a must-visit for tourists, as it is a gateway to Sabah’s hinterland, home to some of the world’s most colourful indigenous peoples.
