Ipoh Heritage Day Tour

Kampar is a small town in the country that is considerable for a thrilling experience during a vacation in Malaysia. The town has a lot to offer and caters to the needs of all kinds of travelers.

Gua Tempurung
If you’re a cave enthusiast, Tempurung Cave should be one of the places you should visit in Malaysia. This 3km long cave is known for its huge chambers and incredible rock formations that will leave any visitor in awe. There’s also a developed part of the cave with hand rails and light installations perfect for younger visitors.

Green Ridge Battlefield Kampar
Green Ridge is a site that overlooks Kampar. The ridge, which is together with the nearby Thompson and Cemetery Ridge, overlooks over the main road to the south from Ipoh and it has a great strategic value. The battlefield has gun emplacements, mortar pits, artillery observation posts and communication trenches.

After so many years, it is a surprise to see many of these placements can still be easily found in the dense forest. These ridges are famous thanks to British resurgence in overcoming the momentous Japanese forces who caught the British off guard in many battles.

Kinta Tin Mining Museum
This museum in Kampar focuses on the gravel pump method of extraction. It was a messy business. A glance at the map will show that the area surrounding Kampar is pockmarked with dozens of small lakes left over from tin mining activity. The mining pits were ugly at the time but now that mining has stopped and nature has worked its miracles, the lakes serve as attractive spots for housing developments, nature reserves, duck farms and so on.

Street Art Kampar
The Lonely Planet title brought in thousands of international visitors that would not have otherwise made it. The place has since built a reputation as a cool place to be, especially because of the expansive street art here which is one of the authentic Ipoh activities.
