The Tech Dome Penang has several galleries such as Information Technology, Life Tech, Robotics, Optics, Electro-Magnetism and Forces and Motion. There is also a Children’s Exploration Zone, the Penang Transformation Story, and an astronomy observatory at the Tech Dome Penang.
These exhibitions and galleries are put together to provide an immersive and experiential representation of the marvels of science and technology.

You can get up close and personal with all the stars in the universe. Take time to understand our Sun, moon and neighbouring planets too.
PIXO is the astronomy observatory at Tech Dome Penang. It houses the most powerful telescope in Penang, known as the Officina Stellare Pro RC 400.
The Officina Stellare Pro RC 400 is a reflecting telescope with a 16″ diameter primary mirror. Another telescope available at PIXO is the Lunt 152mm Solar Telescope, the largest commercially available telescope to observe the Sun. So if you have not seen what the Sun looks like, this will be the best place to do so.
