Senaru North Lombok Waterfall Day Tour

Senaru is one of the favourite towns in all of Indonesia. It sits right at the base of Mount Rinjani and is the perfect jump-off point for hikers. Only adventurers come up here, which brings a certain vibe with it. The air is fresh, and the excitement is in the air.

The entire town was built on farming and hiking. This town was hit hard by the earthquakes in 2018. Mount Rinjani closed for extended periods due to earthquake damage. All of the businesses and families really struggled up here. It’s a beautiful spot, and the adventures are wild!

Pusuk Monkey Forest

The Lombok Monkey Forest, known as Baun Pusuk, is located on a mountain pass between the West and North Lombok regencies.

Baun Pusuk is the name designated for this forest area of Lombok. Pusuk translates roughly to “peak”, given the name presumably due to the viewpoint on the tip of the mountain pass.

The altitude is much higher at the Lombok Monkey Forest than in the surrounding coastal towns, which causes thicker, rainforest-like flora to flourish. This makes it a perfect habitat for the resident monkeys.

Senaru Traditional Village

Gaining its popularity for its natural scenery and rich culture, Senaru Village is now one of the must-visit destinations for travellers. You may wonder what activities you can do in this village.

Senaru is precisely the answer for those craving refreshments for the eyes, body, and soul as a green tourism village. Since farming is the main occupation for the villagers, rice fields are ubiquitous in the village.

Besides its natural beauty, Senaru Village is also known for its cultural and religious heritage. One of the proofs of its spiritual heritage is Bayan Baleq, an old mosque built initially in the 17th century.

Around the mosque are sacred tombs of historical figures of Senaru. Despite its old age, the historical mosque is still used for Islamic celebration days such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Islamic New Year, and many more.

Sendang Gila Waterfall

Sendang Gile is a waterfall with unimaginable beauty. Sendang Gile was an incredible attraction in its own right. However, it will probably always be outshone by Tiu Kelep, which is around the corner. Sendang Gile is an epic two-tiered waterfall that booms down into a shallow river. It will definately be one of your favourite sights to see and an unexpected thing to do in Lombok.

Tiu Kelep Waterfall

Tiu Kelep is the most famous waterfall on Lombok. From Sendang Gile, you follow the river for fifteen minutes, often walking through the water and making several crossings. You will arrive in an incredible amphitheatre with mist blowing everywhere. It is one of the most magical places. Waterfalls pour out of the wall, and then a vast diagonal gushing flow pours down with extreme force over the top of them all.
