Enter the fascinating world of illusions which will trick your confidence in your own senses, but still amaze you by doing it. A world that will completely confuse you, but also teach you to see it in a whole new way. These illusions are such a brilliant, playful reminder that our assumptions about the world we perceive are often, nothing but a spectre of illusions. Amusing and awesome tricks will teach you about vision, perception, the human brain and science so it will be easier to perceive why your eyes see things which your brain cannot understand.
The Museum of Illusions in Kuala Lumpur is a fascinating world of illusions!
The Museum of Illusions Kuala Lumpur lets you simultaneously engage in over 80 great and mind-bending exhibits, leaving you puzzled and impressed!
Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city within the Bukit Bintang area, the Museum of Illusions Kuala Lumpur recently re-opened its door in June 2022 after the pandemic closure.
The museum features a new layout and more unique exhibits. It is a must-visit attraction when you are in Kuala Lumpur.
The family-friendly museum offers over 70 exhibits and illusionary and interactive rooms. On top of that, there are about 40 different dilemma games for you to solve. It is a one-of-a-kind ‘edutainment’ destination about optical illusions. Guests of all ages will laugh and have fun, but they’ll also learn a thing or two about illusions, vision, and perception.
The key draw factor of the museum is that they don’t just have those ‘standard’ illusions setups. Some really unique attractions were well designed:
The Chair Illusion It doesn’t look right, does it? It is unbelievable how the perceived size of a person depends on the objects surrounding it. Explore the laws of perception and play different roles and sizes by swapping places on the chair!
Ames room In this room, walking back and forth either grows or shrinks right before your eyes. What seems like an ordinary room is a masterly distorted one that plays a trick on our perception of depth!
Anti-gravity Room Lean like Michael Jackson, effortlessly? Sure, only in this room! This room will make you question the laws of physics, and you might have difficulty walking through it in balance!
Swap Nose Mirror This trippy mirror has you standing on one side, and another person on another, and have your mouth and nose swapped with each other. Works better than a Snapchat filter and guarantees a burst of great laughter!
Reversed Room Is it upside down? No, it isn’t, or is it really, though? This fantastic room is an excellent opportunity to take some craziest photos to show off to your friends – your imagination is the limit!
Infinity Room One of the most impressive exhibits! You walk in to be greeted by another 20 of your own self! Mirrors at full height are installed all around, creating an illusion of infinite space. It’s almost like a movie set – you could take some awesome photos in this room!
Smart Playroom The Museum has a Playroom where visitors of all ages can play, compete and learn. It is equipped with Dilemma Games, wooden puzzles and brain teasers, stimulating cognitive abilities and making this Playroom a true fitness centre for your brain.
The next time you plan for a trip to Kuala Lumpur city centre, make sure to drop by and explore the world of illusions and experience the impossible with your friends and family!

Lovely place and I think it’s certainly worth it!! We visited as a group of 10 and enjoyed the place. The activities were quite fascinating and the support staff are awesome! They hand hold you to get the best picture and are very patient and engaging!!
We loved the puzzles section as well and it was quite engaging. The support staff helped us with the tricks and made us to do as well.
this is not a huge place, but certainly is a place which you’ll consider worth a visit!
