SKYCAB GLASS BOTTOM COMBO
With a slight twist, this SkyCab has a glass bottom instead of the standard gondola. Go on the glass-bottom gondola and experience having the hillside flora, waterfalls, forest.. the world underneath your feet! The panoramic view of the Andaman Sea is said to be mesmerizing as well.
SkyCab Cable Car to Gunung Machinchang You’ve got your tickets, hooray! Go right to the entrance and wait for one of the gondolas to stop for you. The cable car accommodates about 6 people. Here you will have a 5 – 10 minutes right before getting off at the first platform, where you can experience an astounding view of Langkawi and the island archipelago including the Telaga Harbor Park and Oriental Village in the valley. Then you shall return to take another gondola to the top of the mountain with the SkyCab.
Gunung Machinchang Summit ArrivalAbout another 5 minutes ride in the gondola will you then arrive at the summit of Gunung Machinchang. There are two viewing platforms. First the guests will be directed to the right platform. From there, you have a lovely landscape of the area with the famous SkyBridge. The second platform, which you can reach via a bridge, provides almost a similar view to the first. But there’s a snack bar on the middle floor for a quick refreshment if you need some. It’s a good spot to just chill and relax. It’s also worth noting that in good weather conditions, you can even see Thailand and the island archipelago around Koh Lipe from the platforms!You can then take the stairs down from the second platform and relish another view of the SkyCab gondolas. Then you will arrive at another counter. If you would like to visit SkyBridge, you can buy a ticket (ticket to access the SkyBridge is not included and can only be purchased at the hill top counter).

– Have to wait a bit for glass gondola to arrive, but staff put us at special waiting area
– Don’t have to queue from going up or down
– Good experience and suitable for peak season if you don’t mind to pay more.

Cable car delayed by one hour due to strong wind, glass bottom only worthy for fast lane not for the view to down, also not that many cable cars available, if coming early better take normal cable car and normal queues

Good view for glass bottom cabin if you have not experienced it before (if you have with other locations e.g. HK, then it will be disappointing). Didn’t care much about the dome, rex and 3d art. So, if you’re not into these activities, will be better just getting the ride alone.

The glass bottom dose not worth the price (around double the price).. The view is almost the same, the express lane does not work for the sky bridge or the sky glade (which both have quite long lanes.. more than 2 hours waiting in the lane).. The sky bridge/glade ticket should be included in the same package for the skycab, as buying the bridge tickets makes a lot of waiting (only 1 counter with very long lane).. There must be at least 1 more sky glade as the current one is very slow and the waiting time is too long.

Long queue for the Sky Nature Walk, it dampens the urge to walk through it. The weather was not kind to us when we reach up, and it starts to drizzle. Luckily managed to get some photos before deciding to head down due to the rain.
