1. National Museum
A museum that is located at Jalan Damansara in Kuala Lumpur. The museum is located in close proximity to the Perdana Lake Gardens and it provides an overview of Malaysian history and culture. Its facade comprises elements of traditional Malay and modern features. It was opened on 31 August 1963, and it serves as the Malaysia’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

2. China Town
Lively, colorful Chinatown is located at the center of Petaling Street, known for its fashion shops and a large covered market with products, clothes and accessories. Local artists promote their paintings and crafts at Central Market, where you can also find dishes such as noodles and curry. Places of worship found in the area such as Taoist Guan Di Temple and the 19th-century Sri Mahamariamman Temple.

3. Lake Garden
The Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur has a long history since 1888. Due to its lush greenery and jogging tracks, the Lake Gardens are usually frequented by joggers or those who just wants some time away from the busy city. The Lake Gardens is located along Jalan Lembah and has two manmade lakes and other parks which attracts the visitors. Extending over 92 hectares of land, the Lake Gardens houses various parks and gardens. As of today, there are five other gardens and parks which are open to the public daily.

4. National Monument
The National Monument is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia’s struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960.

5. Sultan Abdul Samad Building
It is a late-nineteenth century building located along Jalan Raja in front of the Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) and the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building originally housed the offices of the British colonial administration and then it was renamed after Sultan Abdul Samad, the reigning sultan of Selangor during that time when construction began.

6. King’s Palace
An official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the monarch of Malaysia. It is located along Jalan Tunku Abdul Halim (formerly Jalan Duta) in Segambut. The palace opened in 2011 and it replaced the old Istana Negara. The palace complex is splited into three main portions, the Formal Component, Royal Component and Administration Component.

7. Independence Square
It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Literally Independence Square. It was here the Union Flag was lowered and the Malayan flag hoisted for the first time at midnight (time: 12:00 AM) on 31 August 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the usual venue for the annual Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade).

8. Twin Tower
This place is also known as the Petronas Twin Towers, twin skyscrapers. They were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. The buildings are a landmark of Kuala Lumpur, along with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.

9. National Mosque
The mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent Malaysia. It is one of the most visited mosques by Muslims for their prayers and religious activities.
