East Nusa Penida [Private Day Tour]

Nusa Penida is a relatively undeveloped island southeast of mainland Bali. You will not find the flamboyant beach clubs, organic cafes or stylish restaurants here. However, Nusa Penida is still worthy of a visit, and it houses some of the most photogenic vistas in Bali.

East Nusa Penida Day Tour is one of the best day trips from the Bali mainland to explore and experience the eastern part of Nusa Penida.

Nusa Penida is a relatively undeveloped island southeast of mainland Bali. You will not find the flamboyant beach clubs, organic cafes or stylish restaurants here. However, Nusa Penida is still worthy of a visit, and it houses some of the most photogenic vistas in Bali.

Atuh Beach

What can tourists do in Atuh Beach, actually? First, visitors should explore the white sandy beach. As mentioned before, they can enjoy sunbathing and beach walking comfortably. Thanks to the comfy soft-textured shoreline. Next, tourists should reach the shore and play water in it. As for the tip, it is recommended to come to the beach during the low tide. At the time, some sea creatures are seen clearly due to the shallowness. Tourists can even play with water more safely.

The next allure of Atuh Beach is the presence of “Batu Bolong”, which is a nearby coral island. The official name is Batu Melawang Island. What makes it the best feature on the beach? It is related to the shape, which has a giant hole that appears like a coral tunnel. Thus, tourists must not forget to take photos of it during the visit later. One thing, they must reach a higher ground to get the best angle for photography.

Atuh Beach also has several interesting local legends. All fishermen’s boats should pass through Batu Bolong before heading to the open sea. After all, the locals consider it a ritual to prevent bad things when fishing or sailing. Another story is related to the shore, which tastes fresh instead of salty near the shoreline!

Rajalima

It takes some effort to reach the best viewing or photography spot in Raja Lima. Tourists even need to walk on stairs to get there. Due to the narrow route, though, everyone should queue. Later, they even need to take a turn to take photos on the site. From the spot, visitors can take pictures of sea scenery, including the formation of small islands ahead. Both the nuance and panorama are similar to that of Raja Ampat! This explains why the site is popular among passionate travellers.

The only consideration is related to stamina. Trekking to Raja Lima takes both energy and time, after all. Thus, tourists can quickly get tired when getting there. For those who don’t carry bottled water or any supply, it is recommended to rest at an available Gubug (traditional gazebo) along the way to the location. At least they can avoid the sun’s heat for a while before continuing the trip.

The good news is a traditional local eatery is available near Raja Lima. That means tourists can buy some food and drinks before continuing their exploration. Thus, all tourists should carry some cash when heading to the site later. The menu is simple, though. These include local fried rice, instant noodles, tea, coffee, etc.

Diamond Beach

A visit to Nusa Penida is not complete without a stop at the one of a kind Diamond Beach. The Diamond Beach is located on the island’s eastern end and offers some sensational views from up top and down below.

Diamond Beach is undoubtedly one of you must do in Nusa Penida, Bali. A breathtaking white beach, velvety blue waters, limestones, and palm trees create a dream destination. The view from the top of Diamond Beach is one directly from the postcards.

Diamond Beach is near two other attractions on Nusa Penida. Atuh Beach is to the left of Diamond Beach, and Thousand Island Viewpoint is to the right.

The beach is pretty long, and it offers you plenty of possibilities to find your spot in the sand to enjoy. You will have more of that white sand during low tide, and with the high tide, you can see the water nearly reaching the back wall at some points.

Teletubbies Hill

People have different reasons for visiting Teletubbies Hill. Still, most of them come to the site to enjoy relaxation. Their destination is the top of the hill, where the nuance is the best, and the panorama is superb. They can simply sit on the grassy landscape and enjoy the ambience at particular times. The best times to visit are in the morning and afternoon, though. It is because the sun’s heat would ruin the comfort while exploring the hill at noon.

The following common reason to visit Teletubbies Hill is none other than trekking. After all, tourists need to reach the top of the hill for the best views. Trekking is unavoidable whether they want it or not. Thus, it is recommended to carry a camera and take some photos while trekking. Plus, all tourists must wear comfy footwear when heading to the hilltop. A jacket is also helpful due to the strong wind.

The comfy grassy landscape in Teletubbies Hill soothes everyone, for sure. Tourists don’t even need to carry a mat for sitting in that area. The fact is tourists would find several hills there! No wonder they can choose the place where they want to enjoy trekking. However, both the landscape and nuance are similar among those hills.

Rumah Pohon “Tree House”

The Tree House is located next to the Diamond Beach in Nusa Penida. The Tree House is an exciting place to be as you will enjoy the gorgeous views of the cliffs and the beach from the treehouse.

The Tree House structure is austere. Stand on a tree that has somewhat cut down the trunk so the house can stand upright. To reach the top of the treehouse, wooden bridges and stairs have been made easy to access.

The Tree House is at a peak facing directly to Atuh Beach. It is not a building that makes the Tree House special. But the panorama scenery and natural beauty can be glimpsed from the top of the Tree House.

While sitting on the balcony, the sights of Atuh Beach can be seen entirely. The view seen is the stretch of the sea, which is very captivating. If you choose to stay a night at the Molenteng Tree House, you can watch an incredible sunrise
