Itinerary

• Day 1 (Lunch + Dinner)
  • 8.00am: Depart from the hotel for Batang Ai’s Nanga Ukom Longhouse. Travel by van through Sarawak’s countryside, passing pepper gardens, rice fields, and palm groves. Stop at Serian town’s colourful market to explore jungle products like edible ferns and tropical fruits. Enjoy lunch on the way. At Batang Ai Jetty, board a native Iban longboat for a 1-hour ride through rainforest to reach the Iban tribe’s longhouse. Relax on the verandah, engage with the Iban people, and learn about their history and culture. After dinner, enjoy a cultural dance and local rice wine. Overnight stay at the longhouse.
• Day 2 (Breakfast + Picnic Lunch + Dinner)
  • Wake up to the melodies of birds and frogs. After a simple yet delicious local breakfast, gear up for an exciting day of trekking. Journey through scenic jungle trails, with chances to cross streams and rivers, and discover the vibrant flora and fauna along the way. Try your hand at fishing and gather edible ferns and bamboo shoots for a picnic lunch by a refreshing nature stream. After lunch, trek back to the Nanga Ukom Longhouse for an overnight stay.
• Day 3 (Breakfast + Lunch)
  • After breakfast, experience the thrill of a blowpipe demonstration and a lively cockfighting display. Then, embark on a 1-hour longboat journey down the river, before continuing by van. Enjoy lunch along the way. At 3:00 pm, visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to witness the mesmerising feeding time of the orangutans. Afterward, continue to Kuching, where you’ll dropped off at your hotel.
